Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026
Bangkok, Thailand ยท 2026-11-14. The first-ever Eurovision Song Contest Asia โ 10 broadcasters across Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. Every selection process, sentiment snapshot and betting angle tracked country-by-country.
The 10 Participating Countries

Thailand hosts the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia on 14 November 2026 at Bangkok's IdeaLive arena, with Channel 3 as host broadcaster. Like the other nine participating broadcasters, Channel 3 is expected to run a national final from August 2026, drawing from a T-Pop scene led by BUS, 4EVE, ATLAS and a long bench of Sonray, XOXO and GMMTV acts. As host nation, Thailand will trade at a structural premium across whichever Polymarket and exchange markets open ahead of the November contest.

South Korea's debut at Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 runs through an ENA-produced national final on 4 September, with an open submission window for any Korean national aged 18+ closing 30 June. The K-pop majors โ HYBE, SM, JYP, YG โ look poised to sit it out, leaving the lane open to mid-tier idol acts, soloists and indie names. Once Polymarket and Smarkets list the contest, expect South Korea to draw the heaviest pre-market action of any participating country.

The Philippines is preparing for its Eurovision Song Contest Asia debut on 14 November 2026, with broadcaster ABS-CBN confirming a national final in August. With P-Pop having its biggest year on the global stage and one of the most organised Eurovision fan communities in Asia, the country lands among the early favourites for the inaugural Bangkok edition.

Vietnam Television (VTV3) is one of ten confirmed broadcasters for the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia in Bangkok on 14 November 2026, but as of 12 June 2026 no artist, song or selection format has been announced. With ฤแปฉc Phรบc's Intervision 2025 win still fresh in the national memory, Vietnam arrives in Bangkok as one of the most credible dark-horse contenders in the field. Here is what is known about VTV's plans, the V-Pop industry context and the early betting outlook.

Malaysia is in โ under Media Prima's TV3, not RTM. With Anugerah Juara Lagu 40 wrapping in August and TV3 telling fans the selection method is 'a secret', here's the candidate pool, the boycott noise, and the betting angle for Bangkok.

Bangladesh's NTV has opened its national selection for Eurovision Asia 2026 with a 12-artist live final on 23 August in Dhaka. Inside the format, the Bangla pop and folk talent pool, and the betting case for a debut dark horse in Bangkok.

Nepal makes its Eurovision debut in Bangkok on 14 November 2026. Himalaya TV runs the national final on 19 September. Here is the broadcaster, the candidate pool from Nepal's rock, indie-pop and hip-hop scenes, and the betting outlook for a true underdog.

Cambodia debuts at Eurovision Asia 2026 in Bangkok with TV5 Cambodia as broadcaster. Selection details are still under wraps, but the Khmer scene โ from Vannda's globally streamed hip-hop to Aok Sokunkanha's pop pedigree โ gives TV5 a deeper bench than outsiders expect. Here is everything we know on 12 June 2026, plus a betting angle on the 14 November final.

Laos brings the smallest music industry of any Eurovision Asia 2026 debutant to Bangkok on 14 November. Vientiane Capital Television (VCTV) opens national selection in August, with Alexandra Bounxouei, Aluna Thavonsouk and rock band Cells the names anchoring the early shortlist conversation. A genuine 50/1+ outsider story.

Bhutan is the smallest country at the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia โ population around 770,000, broadcaster Bhutan Broadcasting Service (BBS), selection format Druk Dra ("Voice of Bhutan"). The August 2025 first attempt at Druk Dra was pulled off air during the EBU's pre-launch comms tangle; BBS is now first in line to select in early August 2026, ahead of any other participating nation. The Bhutanese entry will be a long-shot in any betting market, but the underdog story โ a Himalayan kingdom of fewer than a million people on the same stage as South Korea, Thailand and the Philippines โ is exactly the kind of narrative that makes underdog markets liquid.
