The second semi-final of Eurovision 2026 ran on Thursday 14 May 2026 at the Wiener Stadthalle. Fifteen entries competed for the final ten Grand Final slots; juries and televoters from each of those fifteen countries — plus the three Big-5/host countries voting in this show (France, the United Kingdom and Austria) and the Rest-of-the-World online aggregate — split the influence 50/50.

| 3 | 🇦🇺 Australia | 222 |

The signal the market missed: nine sets of 12 from one televote
This is the number that, in retrospect, should have moved Bulgaria's outright price hard. The 12-points-received distribution from the SF2 televote:
| Country | Sets of 12 from public |
|---|---|
| 🇧🇬 Bulgaria | 8 + RoW |
| 🇦🇱 Albania | 2 |
| 🇨🇾 Cyprus | 2 |
| 🇩🇰 Denmark | 2 |
| 🇷🇴 Romania | 2 |
| 🇳🇴 Norway | 1 |
| 🇺🇦 Ukraine | 1 |
Nine separate voting blocs in a single televote pool gave Bulgaria the maximum award. For comparison, no country in the SF1 televote received more than five sets of 12 (Israel), and in the SF1 jury the maximum was Poland's five. Bulgaria's nine sets in one televote was the strongest single-show televote dominance of the entire 2026 contest. It went on to take eight further sets of 12 in the Grand Final jury (joint-most with Poland), then carried the Grand Final televote with 312 points to Israel's 220.
UK outright pricing on Bulgaria moved from roughly 25/1 pre-rehearsal to ~15/1 by Grand Final morning — meaningful drift but nothing close to what the SF2 televote distribution suggested. With hindsight, an entry pulling nine sets of 12 in a single televote should have been pricing closer to 7/1.
Jury 12-points received
| Country | Sets of 12 from juries |
|---|---|
| 🇳🇴 Norway | 4 |
| 🇨🇿 Czechia | 3 |
| 🇲🇹 Malta | 3 |
| 🇦🇱 Albania | 2 |
| 🇦🇺 Australia | 2 |
| 🇦🇲 Armenia | 1 |
| 🇧🇬 Bulgaria | 1 |
| 🇩🇰 Denmark | 1 |
| 🇷🇴 Romania | 1 |
Norway leading the SF2 jury was not the story most expected. JONAS LOVV's "Ya Ya Ya" was a stage-spectacle Eurovision-traditional pick that played well with professional juries, but it converted weakly to the public vote in the Grand Final — only 19 televote points from the Saturday show despite the SF2 jury showcase.
Why Switzerland, Luxembourg, Armenia, Latvia and Azerbaijan went out
The five eliminations broke down by show position. Two early-running-order ballads (Azerbaijan slot 2, Luxembourg slot 4) struggled to land emotional anchor moments after Bulgaria's dancefloor-thumper opener. Two mid-table entries (Armenia slot 6, Switzerland slot 7) hit the dead zone bookended by stronger neighbours. Latvia slot 9 ran into the Denmark-Australia-Ukraine-Albania-Malta block where there was simply no oxygen left in the show.
Switzerland's elimination was the surprise of the night for UK bookmakers — Veronica Fusaro was priced 1.65 to qualify (60.6% implied) and finished outside the top 10. Latvia at 4.50 (22.2%) and Armenia at 5.00 (20%) were largely as expected. Luxembourg's elimination — having returned to the contest in 2024 after a 31-year absence — was particularly painful for the broadcaster after a strong UMK-style Sanremo pre-buzz cycle.
Opening and interval acts
The show opened with a pre-recorded segment of hosts Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski performing the 2025 winning song "Wasted Love" in a self-deprecating staging. The interval acts featured the hosts performing "I'm So Excited" and 2025 winner JJ performing his new single "Unknown".
